Carefully
follow the 3 Simple Steps below...
Step 1 -
Go to the Datahosted Hosting order
page and choose the Web hosting plan required
for your website.
Your hosting account kit and settings will be emailed to you
instantly once you complete your order.
The email will contain your FTP account, temporary FTP account, temporary
web address, DNS settings and more.
Step
2 -
Publish and/or Upload a copy of your Web site to
your new hosting account at DataHosted Hosting and use
the temporary Web address to check that your site is functioning properly.
Use the ´ Temporary FTP account´ and
´Temporary Web address´ provided to you
in the email containing your hosting account settings.
Step
3 -
Once you have completed step 1 and 2 wait 24 hours
before you change the DNS of your domain name.
To change the DNS you must contact or visit the website or
registrar where you currently have your domain name registered
and change your Domain Name Servers to ours.
Use the ´DNS settings´ provided to you
in the email containing your hosting account settings.
Once you change the DNS settings of your domain name it can take 24
to 72 hours for your domain name to propagate to your new
Web Hosting account located at DataHosted Hosting.
Note:
If you complete and perform steps 1 thru 3 properly your website will
experience NO Downtime.
Once you complete step 3 wait at least 24 hours and
then check to see if your DNS has been updated.
You can then cancel your Web hosting account at your
previous hosting provider.
